My husband and I refused the Hep B vaccine for our son when we entered the hospital Monday night for our induction. THREE different nurses took care of us before I winded up having him (c-section because he was crooked and could not come out vaginally after pushing for 4 hours straight). Well baby inhaled meconium so he is in NICU being evaluated and is being transferred in about an hour to a better hospital. Anyway: the first nurse we seen Monday night that put in the notes comes in a few minutes ago to tell me she is baby's nurse and she "accidentally" gave my son the Hep B shot. Well, my husband is MUCH more vocal than I am, so luckily he is sleeping when she tells me this. Then has the nerve to ask me if I will sign the consent form now so she can document that she gave it to him! I am furious.. and I didn't sign it because I told her I want to wait until my husband wakes up to consult him first. When I tell my husband he is going to absolutely FLIP. What do I do?? :(
