a few months ago i started dating a guy i met online. i think im starting to fall for him. the problem is he just got out of a really serious relationship.  a highschool love who he has children with.  i think i should steer clear, give him space while he heals or whatever  but im not sure

Everyone moves on at their own pace. He is going to have to deal with her since he has kids with her. Now if it seems like he is still really pining for her and she is about all he can talk about then, yes, I would say he isn’t ready to move on and you might need to give him some space.
