Have you ever had to miss a tithe due to bills or an emergency coming up? I’m trying my hardest not to miss and I’m praying over my finances but they just keep getting worse.

Yes, but I always make it back. It’s a simple paying off of a debt.

My husband and I use EveryDollar.com for our budgeting. It was part of a course we took at our church. It’s helped us tremendously with finances... even with budgeting our emergency fund because “it’s not IF something is going to happen.... it’s WHEN” which is why when our water heater blew... it didn’t hurt our plan.... we had it set aside in the emergency fund. I agree with Hannah, and I don’t think you’re doing this, but wanted to offer the caution anyway. Beware of only tithing when it’s convenient. Tithe is supposed to be the first of our pay, never leftovers. Like I said, I don’t think you’re doing this, but wanted to offer the caution just in case. Missing a tithe isn’t the end of the world, but it can be easy to miss more and lose your heart to the wrong place.
