Texting advice

Me and this guy had been texting a lot we don't really get to see each other In person a lot we are under 18 and we live like 30 minutes away from each other I don't have my permit he does Tho any ways we were texting a lot I started the conversation more than he did but he did make an effort all of a sudden we stopped no reason it's almost been a week I want to text him and talk to him I mean I have a crush on him but I don't know if I should Do I just leave it alone cause he hasn't texted me and probably doesn't like me or do you think I should see if he responds and maybe he is overthinking it like I am In the past I thought he liked me cause we would talk for hours and we got along really well kinda would flirt then it just stopped
