Balance of spending time with SO
My boyfriend just started a full time job. Prior to this he hasn’t worked a job for almost a whole year. This entire year he’s been living off of me/my family and has been doing whatever the hell he wants. We just moved back to our hometown and I’m getting on my feet with finding work. I have some part time work, but am definitely not busy all day. When he comes home from work, he basically just doesn’t show me attention. He will set a time to spend with me and then will say he wants to play some video games. Last night I got an hour with him until it was video game time until bed. Hes gone allllllll day. I understand he totally should do what he wants with his free time, especially since he’s working now... but I can’t help but feel pushed to the curb. I miss him all day and just want to be close to him when he’s home and hang out. He just seems uninterested and I can’t help but get my feelings hurt. I haven’t spoken to him about anything yet because I feel like I shouldn’t be hurt with how he wants to spend his time. Im just proud of him for finally getting a job. I’m looking for advice from others in relationships similar where you live together and have to balance work and spending time together. I feel as though my end of the relationship is suffering in lack of affection and just quality time. I’m finding it hard to get that balance... any ideas?
