Job offer, I’m torn!

So, I’ve just been offered a new job! It’s in the career field I want to be in, but it’s technically a step down.

I originally applied for the position because I’m unhappy at my current job. Even though I make $70k and am a Senior member of the team, the 1.5hr commute everyday is killing me.

The new job is offering $67,500 and is 15minutes from my new house (we are in the process of closing), and I wouldn’t have a Senior title.

My husband keeps saying that it’s better to be at the bottom in an industry that you want to be in, than at the top of one you don’t want to be in, but the decrease in pay and title bothers me.

What would you do?
