HELP + hpt - hcg

I’m heartbroken. I had to start on clomid this last month. Ovulated cycle day 17, bd a lot, and today cycle day 30 I got a faint positive. On a red dye and a blue dye. Messaged my reproductive endocrinologist and she wanted me to get a blood test. She just called.. says I’m not pregnant. She said my levels are 1.6 (<5). I’m at a loss. I don’t understand what a happening! I’m praying I get another positive in the morning and I can show her. Maybe blood test was too early? Can that happen?
