How can I get my boyfriend to clean up after himself? I consider myself a neat freak BUT since we’ve started to live together I’ve looked past certain things and I’ve haven’t said much about certain things. Even when I do, I ask him nicely to either pick it up or clean... but I’m getting really frustrated because it feels like I’m always picking up after him. I work full time and he’s off for the summer since he’s in school. I will literally spend the entire day on the weekend cleaning from top to bottom. Then during weekday, I come home and the kitchen is filthy. There are half empty and empty water bottles EVERYWHERE. I have a trash can in every room and his trash never seems to make it into the bin. I come home and there’s a poop stain on the toilet. Half of the time, I walk in and there’s still pee in the toilet. (I know some people follow the “if it’s yellow, let it mellow” rule, but he flushes the toilet halfway through peeing... Closet doors are left wide open. Cabinet doors are open. The comforter is on the floor. Clothes are on the floor. I’m so tired of coming home to this. It only makes my anxiety act up and makes me feel like I can’t even be in my own home... I don’t know what else to do...
