I had a D&C; today. The procedure was done only with local anesthesia (a shot in my cervix, I believe) & I was given ibuprofen beforehand. I’m pretty traumatized by the experience. It was more pain than I had with contractions, though I ended up having an emergency C-section with my firstborn in March of 2016. (This was to be my second child). I’m not sure what kind of feedback or answers I’m searching for but I am wondering if I’m alone in experiencing this much pain. I don’t know if I’m a wimp, or the local didn’t work, or I was just so emotionally traumatized that it presented itself with physical symptoms. Thanks for reading.
