I came home and put my bag on the table haphazardly. I let my arms hang low as I drug my feet over to the cabinet to get a glass, then to the refrigerator to get some iced tee. It was almost summer, but the temperatures were already pushing the mercury.

I plop down on the couch kicking off my shoes and lounging my feet up onto the coffee table. I hear the door open and close as footsteps get closer.

“What’s up princess lay-ya?! Get it? Lay...ya?!!!”

“Your a dork Chad.”

He laughed at his stupid joke as I rolled my eyes at my step brother. As dorky as he was, the girls at school, as well as all my friends went crazy for him. As far as they were concerned, he was THE hottest guy in school! With his long, soft, Auburn hair, and sea green eyes, they hypnotized the girls. And he showed off his muscles with skater type T-shirt’s at every opportunity. I had to admit, he took after his Mom, very, very pretty face.

He came over and turned on his game that he played non stop! And threw me out of the way!

“Hey asshole! I was watching that!”

“Too bad! You can watch tv when I’m done!”

I went to my room and took out my health homework. Sex Ed! Ugh! The stuff was so confusing! And I had so many unanswered questions. But, I’m not about to ask “Sea Captain” Edwards any questions about sex! God! Ew! What if I ask Julie? My step mom has to know a lot. I mean, this is her second marriage. And, she DID have that weasel Chad! So, after dinner, I would ask her to sit down and have a little chat. Things will be just fine!
