Daisy Marie arrived a week early

Kristina

I woke up Wednesday morning August 8th like any other morning and had to pee. As soon as I finished peeing and stood up my water broke. At first it was confusing because I’ve heard about so many stories about women thinking their water broke but really it was pee but it quickly became apparent that this was NOT pee. My doctor had already told me many times that if my water broke on it’s own not to panic and that I have hours before needs to get to the hospital. So I showered and cleaned up before heading in. It took some hours before my labor really started but once the contractions showed up they came fast and hard! Thank god for epidurals! After a few more hours it was finally time to push and an hour and a half later my Daisy girl was here safe and sound! My doctor told me my labor and delivery was like something right out of a text book and was very happy with how well me and baby did. I admit my birth story is pretty uneventful but I still feel so proud of myself and couldn’t be more in love with my little babe.
