Induced at 41 weeks
This is going to be pretty short because I don’t have a lot of time to type. Baby needs to be burped in a few minutes 😄
I was induced last Tuesday at 41 weeks and labored for 16 hours. Our baby girl Freya was born at 1:45 am Wednesday morning August 8 ❤️
I’m a first time mom and I had a pretty awesome experience giving birth, way better than I had imagined!
They inserted a balloon into my cervix to make me dilate. It was successful and I was at 6 cm after a few hours. Contractions were painful at first but I was given morphine in my IV that helped a lot. I opted to get the epidural before the doctor broke my water. Only minutes after I received the epidural my blood pressure dropped really low and I felt so nauseous and light headed it made me vomit 🤮 But they gave me medication to bring my blood pressure back up and I quickly felt normal again. After getting the epidural, everything from there on was completely painless and I could still move my legs freely! They started giving me pitocin after about 12 hours of labor tohelp me dilate the rest of the way. I couldn’t feel any pain at all when it was time to push, and my tearing was minor so I didn’t need stitches! My husband helped deliver her and the doctor showed him what to do to to prevent me from tearing. The staff at the hospital was amazing and I just feel so blessed.
Our baby girl is perfect and I love her so so much! She’s my world!
