Is Zika virus still in Miami/South beach?

My husband and I are looking for a place to go on our baby moon in the fall. We live on the East Coast so we don’t want to fly to the West Coast it would be a long flight for me. I want to go someplace warm in October but I’m a little hesitant about Florida. Any advice? I tried doing some research but I keep reading all different things....?

I live in South Florida and there hasn’t been a case reported in a while. Definitely still use bug spray if you’re planning to be outside for an extended period of time.

Consider gulf shores Alabama. Similar temps and beautiful. I believe Alabama has no reported Zika.

My doc told me I can't go anywhere fun(more south than I already am in GA) until after I give birth because it could still be a risk even though there hasn't been a case.

I don’t think so. CDC website has a link you can search any destination and it will tell you if Zika is there.
