It’s finally my turn 😱

So last Thursday ,8/9/18, I start feeling bad. An awful unrelenting migraine, and pains in my upper right ribs that were so clearly not little girls feet. I had an appointment the next morning at 1015am and was just going to wait it out. So my dad and I go to dinner and as I’m walking around my pain just gets worse 😫 . I get threw dinner and I ask my dad to take me to the ER. Upon going in the triage nurse was an IDIOT. My BP was 180/105 and I asked him about it to which he said “go into the waiting room and we’ll call you back , the BP is probably just bc you’re pregnant” 😑 ok . We sit in the waiting room for about 30 minutes and the ER doctor comes running to me .. “are you okay?! How are you feeling ? .. can we get her a wheel chair please !” All while listening to my heart hurriedly 😂 I was sitting there so calm and slightly confused .. he pushed me into the hall way and said I should have went straight to L&D; when I got there that I should never have been put in the waiting room. They send me up and I get an amazing nurse who is explaining any and everything she does to me which is rare here. She eventually tells me they called my OB and he is coming in, saying it’s bc he’s a really hands on doctor . Not true , but okay. And it made me worry something was wrong with my babygirl 🙁 he gets there within 15 minutes and tells me that my lab results from earlier with the nurse came back along with consistently and extremely high BP. He doesn’t tell me what is wrong 😐 literally said “well there are some things that happen during pregnancy that we can’t always predict or prevent. I think we should keep you here and start to try and deliver the baby , but you can go home if you want and see wat happens but I wouldn’t suggest it.” 🤦‍♀️ what? I was so confused and I just told him to do what he thought was necessary to keep me and my daughter safe. He admits me and I call my fiancé to come to the hospital. Once the nurse is back in the room I ask her what is going on and she told me that they caught preeclampsia but that I had no previous signs of it however it is sever. When they check my cervix to start the induction my doctor told me it was only 2cm dilated and very unfavorable. He says they’re going to start me on 4 doses of cervidil then another I don’t remember threw the IV after the 4 doses to induce me. He said I will more then likely be in labour well into Saturday / Saturday evening . I get the first dose at 1:30am 8/10/18. My back started hurting and my fiancé laid there rubbing it ..

Soon he goes to bed on the cot and I stay awake as I’m not comfortable . Around 345 I’m in pain from contractions a minute apart. I’m laying there and with each one I couldn’t sit still but I didn’t call the nurse or anything I didn’t think I was supposed to .. the nurse runs in there and says “are you okay?? You bp is in the 170s again.. I’m going to recheck really quick okay ?” I told her I was in pain and she says that my OB left but she was going to call him to see what he wanted to do. She comes back and asks about pain meds , epidural or morphine are the only two the offer.. naturally I’d go with the morphine but they said it could slow this already super long process I’m about to go through .. so reluctantly I chose the epidural.. the anesthesiologist comes in, my SO gets up and holds my hand while they do the epidural. It’s now 530 and I’m in a lot of pain by this point as ive never even had period cramps . They finish and the nurse says she be back in to put in the catheter, check my cervix and give me my second dose at 6 am. When they finish she comes in , puts in the catheter and checks my cervix says “wow.” Okay what’s going on???? She tells me I’m 4.5cm dilated and my cervix is now in the right position, she says she’ll be right back that she needed to call the OB again 🙄 she calls him and said that he will be in around 730 and to hang tight . No big deal , I’m not feeling pain now 😂.. 730 comes and in walks my OB , he says he’s going to check my cervix and then probably start the IV meds forfitting the other 3 doses of the other medicine. He checks me and his face drops 😧.. “well you’re progressing so great. You are now 8cm .. I will be back in in just a moment . “ he leaves and comes in a little after 8am to check me again. “ okay so things are looking great you’re almost entirely dilated, completely thinned and I can feel your bag bulging. However the baby is still high up there so this may take some time. I have a surgery in the next room , I will be gone for 30 minutes and then come break your water.” He leaves the room and the excitement I was feeling suddenly turns to fear.. I look at my amazing fiancé and tell him I’m scared .. he looked at me and smiled and said he was too and that I have this but just held my hand .. about 820 his nerves get so bad he tells me he needs to smoke a cigarette, he goes outside and sits by my window and the morning nurse comes in , introduces herself and we start talking about babies , nieces and nephews and so on. Half way through the conversation I feel a gush of air , hear a pop and my sheet literally rose up off me 😂😂 I said “I think my water just broke ..” the nurse looks at me and the sheet was soaked but I don’t feel anything and she’s like yep 😂 it’s about 845 and I guess the surgery had went long but she calls my doctor and I text my fiancé . They get to the room at the same time an my doctor’s starts setting up for delivery . By the time they finish it’s a little at 9 and he checks me and her little head is right there. 9:15am he tells me it’s time to push .. I’m really scared by this point ... I do 2 pushes and the doc says she’s “turtling” so he’ll be back in shortly but the nurse will help me . 2 more pushes and the nurse freaks out , I can see in the mirror she is holding my lil girls head .. she tells me to stop and had to call 3x for my OB. For him to come back in. He gets dressed and with another 3 pushes my little girl comes out 😱😍 literally 10 minutes of pushing and ended up with No tares !!
