Must haves or no?

Question

How do you feel about bottle sterilizers? Electric or the ones you put in the microwave? What about bottle warmers? Worth the money or not necessary? Do you put the bottle in the microwave? Or can you even put breast milk in the microwave? Ftm so don’t really know much about the products and getting mixed reviews from family.

Sterilizes are pointless. If your properly cleaning your bottles(basic water and dish soap) then there is no need to sterilize.

Both make it easier, but aren’t totally necessary. 
You can’t microwave breast milk.  But you can microwave a mug of water, then put the bottle in that. I find it easier to use a bottle warmer, especially with only one hand holding baby in other. I have the Avent warmer and it warms a bottle from refrigerator temp in about 5 minutes. 
The sterilizer also isn’t needed, you can just sterilize in boiling water and you don’t need to sterilize often. But again a steam sterilizer is much easier. I hand wash all of the bottles and my pump parts add them to the sterilizer and run it. It takes hardly any time at all.

and we used a bottle warmer for the first 2 months. but now I just you warm tap water because my baby is formula fed.

Unnecessary. Clean bottles with soap and water. Both my kids took room temp or even cold bottles, made it so much easier when we were out of the house.

I use a microwave bottle sterilizer and an electric bottle warmer. Are they necessary? No. Do they make the process go faster? Yes. I think they’re worth it! 
You shouldn’t warm milk in the microwave because it could create hot spots in the milk that could burn baby’s mouth. Also, overheating can cause breastmilk to lose some of its nutrients. I’d suggest using a bottle warmer or just setting it in warm water to heat.

U can’t microwave breast milk it kills the good stuff. The bottle warmer is excellent for when my husband is letting me sleep and gives baby a bottle. It’s warm in 7sec

Please do not put your breast milk in the microwave. Use a bottle warmer if you want to warm it. We have an electric sterilizer also and we love it! Is it necessary? Probably not. But we love it! Our bottle warmer is Baby Brezza brand and our sterilizer is also. I would recommend getting a sterilizer, but it's up to you.

Sterilizers are a waste of time, throw the bottles in the dishwasher like everything else (or hand wash with other stuff). I loved having my bottle warmer for morning feeds so I could get myself ready for the day while it warmed up. Didn’t use it for any other feeds, but once per day for an entire year was worth it to me.

The bottle warmer is a must for us. You can’t put breast milk in the microwave. We have a sterilizer also, but I stopped using it after a couple of times.

Honestly if you feel you will use it more then putting it in the microwave for warming or cleaning then go for it. But your microwave will and can do both.
