Hi all! I’m reaching out for help with breastfeeding. My LO is 3 weeks and 3 days. He was able to latch on right after birth. I thought we were going to have a smooth breastfeeding experience. It turns out that we have quite of a challenge. I did a weight difference before and after feeding a couple of days ago, and found out that LO only takes one oz out of my breasts. I then pumped about 1.5 oz. he was finally fed about 0.5 oz formula. I have been going through this 3-step cycle for at least one week now. I can’t figure out why he can’t empty my breasts. We also tried a nipple shield at the hospital, which LO didn’t like at the time. LC, pediatricians and nurses all told me that they don’t think there is a tongue/lip tie. If anyone has had similar experience, I would love to hear how you resolve the issue. Thanks so much!!!
