Anyone ovulated before egg retrieval?

I was booked for egg retrieval today but had ovulation pains the afternoon before & informed the nurse. On ER day they decided to do a scan before sedating me to ensure there were eggs to collect & sadly they confirmed I’d already ovulated.

Am super sad today & wanted to know if anyone else had experienced this or had any luck in the next cycle? And what they changed to make it work?

They are changing my trigger as I responded too well to Pregnyl so fingers crossed. Apparently I responded well otherwise.
