Just found out I have PCOS at 28 :(

I have been trying to conceive for a year and after going through testing I was told I have PCOS. This was shocking and not what I expected. I have sooooo many questions, how long did I have this??? Will I be able to conceive with just medication?? It’s frustrating because there are women who have kids and mistreat them or don’t want them but I love kids to death and always have and I have to work extra hard to conceive. The doctor wants me to take Clomid to help but I am skeptical. Has anyone taken this?? What was your experience?
