Would you go to L&D for this?

I feel silly asking because I’m 25 & 6 weeks pregnant with my second baby and I’ve been feeling off since last night. I keep getting these sharp stabbing pains in my lower abdomen and it feels dull as well. Every time I wipe I get snotty clear discharge and lots of it. I called my doctors office and they recommended going to L&D.; I know I’m not in labor I’m just in pain. I’ve been drinking lots of water so dehydration isn’t the issue and baby is still moving... Anyone else have this and turn out fine? What would you do?

I would go. I was having dull abdominal cramps as well and it just felt strange nothing I couldn't handle at 27 weeks. And now here I am on complete bed rest as I was having contractions. Contractions can be light or extremely painful. I dilated to a centimeter within a day apart after my cervix was closed a day before. So no matter if you think it's not a big deal, if your having anything out of the ordinary, just go and make sure baby is ok. It won't hurt. I just received steroids for the baby's lungs. As they now have me considered threatened preterm labor.

Sitting in L&D; really sucks so I'd personally hold off if I could. Only you can judge your pain. Discharge of that type in that amount can be normal and so can the pains you're describing. I know I had some just the other day and I'm 30 weeks. I put it down to round ligament pain. I'm glad I didn't second guess it because I'm fine. Good luck though.

It’s probably fine but I’d go in because you never know. Just expect to be there a while and take snacks.
