What to teach a 2 year old?

So my daughter is 2, she will be 3 in December and I was wondering what are a list of things to teach a 2 year old, an example is (colors, numbers, shapes, animals) the reason I'm asking is because I feel like my daughter can't speak that well (yet) and then when I hear other toddlers her age speaking, they speak so well. I'm not sure if her being born premature has something to do with it or am I doing something wrong? She knows her numbers 1-10 but of course she doesn't say them right even tho I know shes trying to say it, she knows her colors, some animals but I dont know how much should I teach her, like say teaching her the days of the week, seasons of the year, months and stuff like that. Should I stick with the basic stuff first and wait until she learns or should I just teach her everything?

Talking to them brings on speech, asking her questions and also reading books with her all helps. When it comes to learning the most fun way of doing it is through play, so if you wanted to learn her about different type of seasons, then paint them with her, get flowers from outside or find some leafs, physical play helps they learn better. 
Same for counting you can role play shopping with pretend money.. I use a magnetic writing board with my youngest he’s 3, I draw a shape and he’s tells me what it is then tries to draw it himself. I don’t use flash cards or anything to teachy just fun ways to play and learn with things around us. 
You also find once she starts nursery(preschool) her speech will come on loads, as she around other children more and they learn a lot off them. 😊

The biggest thing our kids dr said and all the moms I know is just talk to them like they are a big person like no baby talk. Abd just have conversations with them read look at the books and song to them. Some kids pick it up earlier than others. One day your kid will wake up and tell you a whole story and shock you. Just continue on doing that and before you know it you will be having a full conversation with them

If she was premature, she may just need more time, and there is a wide range of “normal” for speech at this age. My son was 7 weeks premature, and it took him a little longer than most to start talking. What helped him was being around kids his age and lots of opportunities to practice talking. Perhaps a part time preschool or play group would help increase her opportunities for talking with peers. As for what to teach, use every day activities and build in questions and comments about colors of objects, naming objects, sounds they make, etc. I am a prekindergarten teacher, and sometimes they just need more time and exposure.

What helped my daughter learn numbers, letters, colors, animals, and shapes was me just saying stuff like “Look at this blue triangle.” And stuff like that instead of actually sitting down and trying to teach her. She thought we were just playing games while she was actually learning. At 3 years old she knows colors and shapes way past the basic ones because of this. When we’re in the car I would point out the red stop sign and she knows what stop signs are now.

i think you should continue to teach her what you already are. making sure she really knows them. asking her what color something is wherever you go. also try to get her to count to 20. since she’s almost 3, maybe she can go to preschool next year and she’ll learn a whole lot more. keep working on animals and the sounds they make and and shapes. do you have flashcards with all this stuff? that should help too. and teach her her ABC’s.
