Is this lipstick too dark on me?

My family constantly reminds me that I look better in light colors but I love darker shades for lipstick especially with fall right around the corner... They say the dark is too much. I was going to get more lipstick but now I don't know what shades to buy. "If you wore more blush it might look a little better" but I don't like to wear blush. They are always hating on my makeup
