When does swelling go down?

I gave birth three days ago, had an epidural, and my feet and legs are still swollen....
How long does the swelling last?? I put my feet up and it seems to help a little but not much.

It took about a week for all my swelling to go away.

It'll go away.. I forgot how long maybe a week or two. After birth I swelled up BAD, it hurt. I told my nurse and she said "sorry, it gets worse before it gets better" 😭🙃

It was a little over a week for me. I was a little scared because I didn’t know you could have postpartum edema. I didn’t have that with my first.

I swelled from week 28 and by the time I was induced at 36+4 due to having developed full preeclampsia my legs looked like tree trunks. I was worried when they didn’t go right back down but after about 3 weeks they were finally back to normal. Be patient mama and drink lots of water!

I think mine lasted about 2 weeks, it was really bad. Compression socks and sleeping with your feet elevated helped me a lot.
