toddler bed..?

my son is one and a half, is that too soon to change beds & get him out of his crib ? he’s not sleeping at night anymore and i think it’s bc his crib is too small for him but i don’t want to buy another crib that he’ll be out of soon anyways ... any advise would be appreciated!!

I think it’s really up to you. A girl i went to school with has a daughter who’s just a few days younger than my son. So she’s 14 months old and she has her in a toddler bed already. I also saw someone else on this app that had their kid in a toddler bed and I think the kid was only like a year old. Now my son who is almost 15 months... I couldn’t imagine putting him in a bed yet. I think he’d just climb out or fall.

A toddler bed is the same size as a standard crib. Is he currently in a mini crib?

It's up to you, you know your baby best. My daughter is 15 months old and she moves way too much in her sleep to be in a toddler bed. She'll fall right out lol

I started my son in a toddler bed about one month after his first birthday. As soon as he learned to walk he started climbing. At 13 months he was crawling out of his crib 😳 it can sometimes be difficult getting him to STAY in bed, but I’d rather deal with that 50x a night than see him fall trying to crawl out of the crib

Once my youngest started walking and could get off his big brothers bed by self without falling I got him a toddler bed he was 18months then. He slept so much better without bars and his bed was loads bigger. I did tho buy a stair gate for his bedroom and make sure everything was baby proof, so if he woke up in the night he wouldn’t be walking around upstairs, he used to shout me and il would come get him back into bed.. by the age of 2 he was in a double bed as he shares a bedroom with his big brother so we got them a triple bunk bed he spent all night from then on to. 😊

I’m transitioning when our DD can figure out she can climb out of the crib  😳. We’re also going to get these bumper things so she doesn’t roll out of the bed because she’s a wild sleeper.
