Is it rude if I don't go?
Okay so a girl I was on and off friends with in college is getting married in October. We have not seen each other since my wedding that was in June of 2015 where she was a bridesmaid. Before that it had been over a year since we saw each other. She didn't go to any of my bridal showers or go with me to pick out a dress or to pick out bridesmaid dresses. Only showed up the day of the wedding.
Since then I have tried to keep her updated on significant things that have happened in my life. (I.e. I texted her when we found out we were expecting March 2016, I invited her to lunch multiple times when I knew she was coming to town in my area, and invited her to the baby shower (she didn't come to anything) I also sent her pictures announcing the birth of our daughter in October of 2016 before announcing on Facebook. (She didn't respond))
Point being we have not seen each other and have barely spoken since 2015. She is also engaged to a guy she dated on and off in college that constantly lied to her and would frequently choose hanging out with his friends and smoking weed over her. (An example of this: One night she got stuck in a ditch on the side of the road and calls him while they were dating and he says he is coming. Doesn't show up for over 3 hours because he was smoking. (Campus was less than 10 minutes from where she was and he was on campus) I haven't seen him or have been around him since college so I cannot speak to the fact that she swears he has changed and os focused on their relationship now 🤷🏻 I truly hope he is for her sake.
Anyways I will be 27 weeks pregnant with my second child at the time of her wedding. My husband works that weekend so I would be going alone with my 2 year old (she invited her as well) and the wedding is about 3 hours away. Do you think it would be rude if I didn't go to her wedding since she went to mine?
***Side note I did not go to her wedding shower because I had horrible morning sickness, but I have already sent her a gift and a card.
