I think riding the bus is a good social learning experience. I liked riding the bus when I was younger, my friends and I talked and listened to music. I made a lot of friends because of bus rides.

Where we live, it’s mandatory that children from 6 and up to walk to school or catch the bus/train on their own without parental assistance. My daughter is 4 so we are not there yet but when the time comes, I’ll have to comply. 😩

I think I’m going to let my kids decide.. I liked riding the bus and I liked when my dad drove me.. it was just different. If they ever want to try out riding the bus I’ll let them and if they don’t like it I’ll enjoy the time I get with them

Rising the bus almost seems like a necessary right is passage. But then, I have many bus memories I look back and laugh about. I would be on there for 45 min to and from school. Wasn’t fun at the time, but it built character. 
My husband and I are both teachers at the same district, so our child will likely not ride the bus since we’ll be sending him to our same district whether we live in it or not.

I hated riding the bus and some crazy kid stabbed me on the bus when I was in like 3rd grade lol I think it's a good bonding experience to drive to and from.school with my child

I hated riding the bus and I know all my siblings did too. If I can avoid the bus thing and spend some extra quality time with my child then I’ll do the car line.. I don’t mind.
