Has anyone had the intention of trying to make things work one last time with a SO and then falling back into having sin (for me, fornication..) (I’m a Christian, wanted to wait for marriage and didn’t, tried to wait again, and failed... again). I love him so much but we both struggle with the same thing.

We decided if this is going to work out, we need to first get close to God on our own (not breakup, but each seek God in a personal way). I felt like that’s an inauthentic reason to want to know God (so we can be together). He made the point that if we do seek God, no matter what the original reason that we started doing so was, in the end God will end up being the thing we want most. Idk, it’s also like, I just want confirmation or the opposite from God. Why can’t he tell me directly 😔

Any wisdom or words of truth?
