Elective heart beat/ultrasound

I’m trying to plan for the future. I found out I was pregnant last week. This will be my first. I made an OB appointment and will have my first health physical at 8 weeks. It’s purely just a physical.

I can hear the heart beat tones at week 12 through the same doctor and will have my first ultrasound at 20 weeks. I’m already so afraid of baby not developing correctly and this is a really really long time to wait to make sure everything is ok in my opinion.

Has anyone had an elective ultrasound done by another company before their OB will perform an ultrasound? Also is it unethical to go to women’s care center or planned parenthood for an ultrasound? I have Insurance and am willing to pay. I’m just curious if they only accommodate women who do not have insurance and/or an OB. Any advice of opinions will be helpful. Thank you!!
