Hey. I am considering taking birth control for period control as I am having issues with that. I was wondering what the Islamic stance is on birth control

My understanding is if you are taking it for health reasons like periods it would not be considered haram but is always good to confirm with an Alimah/sheikh/imam etc

It is not Haram. If it helps you regulate your menstrual cycle, use it. Also, it is not required or mandatory to have children in Islam.
