It's entirely possible to fall in love with the wrong one. Most of us have been there. It doesnt make that person (or you) bad, just not meant to be. No length of time together can change incompatibility either.

I think I’m in that situation rn. But we are both trying our best to keep things going since we both want this relationship and we have already talked about it. We take time in our days to tell each other how we see things and how we feel so there is no fuck ups or misunderstandings since we are both very different people. We clear things up right then and there when needed. It’s been working out for the past 2 months and still going good ! 
We have also been together 2 yrs, both in love with each other, but lots of arguments and fights over even mundane things.
