Birth Story 🤰
On May 21st (39 weeks) I went to my doctors appointment in which I got told I needed to go to the hospital (across the street) Since the baby was really low and I was having contractions. I felt completely fine so my partner and I decided to go home and get everything in order, we ended up doing loads of laundry, house chores and grocery shopping 🤦🏻 I got to the hospital around 6 30ish, the nurses had been waiting for me and after my nurse checked me she confirmed that I was having the baby that night. (Nurses change shifts every 7pm and 7am) Oh, and I was 3cm at my doctors office and also when my nurse checked me. Then the next nurse came in and checked me, she was really rude, she told me I wasn't even 1cm dilated and it wasn't necessary for me to be at the hospital that I needed to go home but the choice was mine then she left. My contractions got worse so I chose to stay which she answered that they aren't that bad 😒 Around 15 minutes later my water broke and she walked in and said "Oh I guess it did break" Then she called another nurse and they switched, when the new nurse checked me I was already 7cm dilated. She was surprised since she knew the previous nurse was trying to send me home and I just wanted to say I told you so! I asked for an epidural which I ended up getting hours later when my daughter's head was visible so that epidural was pretty much worthless by then. I just felt the need to push and the nurses were rudely basically yelling at me to stop pushing but I couldn't help it. My doctor got there just in time, one push and my daughter was out. My partner was so scared from everything he looked like he was about to pass out 😂 My doctor came in yelling at the nurses and also told me I could sue (I didn't).
