White girl with box braids? Yes or no? And..

I was debating if whether or not I should get box braids.

1) is it offensive that I do it?

2) will I put myself at a higher risk for having them?

3) is my hair even long enough?

4) but, really, I feel like I'd look like an asshole because my background didn't rock those braids. It's not in my culture.

I'm the last person to ever be remotely mean or not understanding or supportive of other people. I'm a lover and a fighter, but both for the right things.
