Transition to crib

Gina

Hi all! My babygirl is 11 weeks old and currently sleeping in her rock and play at night. She initially had some stomach issues, so we did not want her to lay flat, but as we are getting closer to the 12 week mark and stomach issues seem to be resolved, I really need to atart thinking about transitioning her to the crib.

At night, she’s swaddled (such a mover and her startle reflex is still happening) and will sleep an initial 6-8 hour stretch and then another 3-4 hours. We use the timer on the rock and play, so she does not rock all night long. I’m dreading this transition since she has been doing so well in there, but know I need to rip the bandaid off soon and just do it.

Oh and as for napping during the day- she only naps for about 45 minutes to an hour at a stretch and will only nap on us right now. After about 10 minutes of putting her down, her eyes pop open and she’s up for the rest of the time- which makes evenings with an overtired baby not so fun. But since she is sleeping well at night (for now), I’m not too concerned about her naps, but I’ll be back to work on Monday and our family that will be watching her really needs to be able to put her down to nap as they have other children to watch too.

Any advice would be helpful!! Thank you!!!
