What does contractions feel like!?

Question

My OB keeps asking me and I have no idea if Ive been having them?
Ive felt different pains:
- Tightening from top of uterus mainly and down to my lower belly with no pain just a need to stretch 
- painful cramping (mixture of needing to poop and menstrual cramping ) that wraps from below my bellow button down to my butt. 
Sssoooooo I dunno 🤷🏽‍♀️ 
Any thoughts?

The second feeling is a contraction. I have a home nurse who visits weekly because my oldest was preterm (water leaked, induced never had normal contractions on my own) and yesterday i was having a lot of back and hip pain and explained to her that a few times it felt like someone was reaching around my belly from the back and squeezing. She goes “yep that’s a contraction”

That sounds like BH but I never experienced them. I didn’t have contractions (that I could feel anyway) until I’d been on pitocin for like 24hours. Then they hit me like a ton of bricks. But pitocin makes contractions like a million times worse.
