When to go to the doctor?

I've been testing for a few days and the lines getting darker and darker so I'm taking it I'm pregnant ... I wouldn't call the doc for a couple days still I'm only one day past my period but I've been doing some research and everything says not to make an app until your 6-8 weeks along is this true? Do I wait? Do I call an see what a doc says?

Call now. Theyll ask you when your last period was and schedule you at the point they want to see you. Dont wait because appts fill up

I just went to my normal OB to confirm the pregnancy and get first trimester care (blood tests, pap smear etc) around 6 weeks. I started looking at hospitals around 10 weeks and had a lot of meet and greets until I found the midwives that i loved to deliver my baby. My first appt. with them was around 14 weeks i think.

You also will want to try to find a doctor you like, if you can. Some places will give you yours or let you talk to the doctor to decide if they're right for you. There are a lot of choices in care providers and the first 6-8 weeks is a great time to do research and decide where you want to be
