My last depo shot was in October 2016 so I’ve been off since January 2017.

When I stopped depo, I didn’t get a period for 5 months and it wasn’t until February this year that I had a regular 4-5 day normal bleeding period and they were on time. The nurse told me it could take up to a year for it to fully be out of my system so surely I’d be okay now?

We’re about to start ttc but I’ve read a lot of horror stories about depo causing infertility and it taking years to conceive. I’m just wondering if anyone had that issue? Or if it’s just people who were on it more long term and ttc after less time being off?

I know my best bet is to wait and see what happens but I’m worrying myself to death about getting my hopes up.
