How soon to introduce pacifier?

Question

I was just wondering how long you waited to introduce a pacifier with your baby? (If you ended up using one at all) And the good and bad of it. 
I bought some when I thought I was going to have to formula feed due to a medical condition.  But now my docs and I worked out a plan and I get to breastfeed! 
I am not looking to force a pacifier on my baby or anything, but also don't want to cause nipple confusion if we opt to use them. Is 1 month enough time? Or longer?

We introduce bottle and paci on day 3 and he never had any issues with nursing. He’s still nursing at 14 mos. he stopped using a bottle at 6 months and didn’t want the paci anymore by 5 months

My first was a preemie, and it was a couple weeks before she was able to eat by mouth. But they gave her a pacifier immediately. She nursed until her fourth birthday, so I don’t think it caused any problems for us... New baby gets one occasionally starting at about a week old.

I didn't even give my daughter a pacifier. I had some as gifts but I didn't want to give one before I had her so I just never did and I never felt like we needed it. We used alternative calming methods and she never developed a thumb sucking habit either.

Day 3, about 48 hours after birth. The hospital had to do a car seat test before they’d allow us to take our baby home, and we were asked if it was okay to provide a pacifier if she needed to be soothed - we agreed. It’s fine. She spits it out and doesn’t want it all the time. We mostly just give her the pacifier when she has lots of gas and is struggling to fart. It works well.

We gave my daughter one around a week and a half because that’s the only way she would calm down for her daddy since he couldn’t just pull a boob out. We used the Avent soother ones that are shaped more like a nipple (vs the flat and wide ones) and she’s done fine. We’ve been successfully breastfeeding now for 17 weeks.

I didn't want to with any of my kids when my son wad born 3 months ago the nurse give him one without our permission do to my son eating supposably eating much Now he has to have it all night an day. 
I waited with my first born until she was hard core teething I would put them in the freezer so they were cold
 She would only use them when cold we when they got warm she would spit it out

My doctor told me no sooner than 4 weeks so the baby doesn't confuse the boob
