Should the guy pay when you go out EVERY TIME?

My boyfriend thinks that he should pay every time, and I hate that... like I don’t want him to spend all that money on me but I want to go places.

I’m Hispanic and that’s big culturally. I personally don’t care and I have dated different races but my Latin husband would be insulted if I paid. In our culture the men are raised to provide and the daddies make it clear that if he can’t treat her better then daddy... blah blah.  
Maybe ask him WHY.  If it’s to do with something for him personally and it makes him feel happy to give then maybe learn to accept it. Lol.  
I had to learn to be a little more spoiled sometimes cause I am such an independent gal 🤷🏼‍♀️

If he wants to I get it, although it can get frustrating. Me and my SO either split the cost or take turns paying.
