Metal crib?

Do you think if I get a metal crib it will keep my 2 cats out? Locking them out of the room isn’t an option because one doesn’t get along with our dogs (and he’s deaf so strictly indoors). I think a wooden crib they could get their claws in and climb over but maybe metal is the solution? I have seen mesh covers to go over them but I’m worried the cats would just destroy that. Other ideas welcome but has anyone used a metal crib for this purpose?
Edit: This is for when Baby Girl is in our room. No animals will have access to the nursery so I’m also interested in anyone who started their baby out in the nursery. Is that a good option or just extremely difficult for night feedings?

Cats can easily jump into the crib, they don’t need to hold on to anything.

A metal crib wouldn’t do a damn thing to keep our cats out of the crib. They jump right over the bars to get in. We just keep the door to the nursery closed (but the cats sneak in behind us all the time).

I’m putting up the crib early. Everything I have so far they have been obsessed with for like a week now they can care less about the swing and the other things. Once Baby comes I doubt they will even want anything to do with her. They will probably stay far away

I’ve heard that putting empty soda cans filled with pennies on the edge of the crib to scare the cats if they try jumping into it. Training them in the end not to jump. Good luck!

My cat won’t have access to nursery but will to rest of house so getting this to keep cat out and give me peace of mind if I nap or pop to the toilet etc...

Cats are very high jumpers. I would say if keeping them out the room is not an option you may have to look into getting cages for them give them to another home, horrible as it it may be the only option, baby comes first.
