She’s here!!!!!❤️❤️❤️
At 38 weeks 4 days(8-25-18)I was admitted and we began my induction. I had been having contractions for 3 days at that point and my doctor decided it was time, as mentally and physically I was struggling beyond belief.
We began the process of induction by inserting the balloon which failed one because it was to painful and two because I had ended up dilating more, so it kept sliding out.
We then started pitocin. I received my epidural at 3cm 60% so that my body was able to relax and allow this process to go smoothly. After being given my epidural around 6:00-6:30pm I tried to rest. I ended up becoming super itchy from it and my anxiety shot through the roof so I was given Benadryl. I was awake from 6:30 till about 12am and after that was in and out of sleep.
I could feel the contractions still, they just weren’t painful. I kept waking up and falling back to sleep until 5am when a horrid pun from hell hit in between my shoulder blades and the pressure of needing to “poop” hit me.
My doctor came in checked me and sure enough, baby was on her way out and I was ready to go!!! As they were setting up I told the nurse I had to push. She told me to not push and I told her my body was ready and I was pushing. When they got my legs up my baby girl was already crowning. Literally three good pushes and she was out!
Eleanor Victoria born today August 26th 2018 at 5:20am weighing 6lbs even and 19 inches long. She came out pink as could be screaming and with a full head of dark curly hair and blue eyes. Breastfeeding like a pro already!
I am thankful that this delivery went so well and I only have a second degree tear! Wooohooo 😄 I say that because I was a 3+ degree tear with my last baby.
Here she is my beautiful baby girl!
