Anyone else scared about giving birth?

Question

I’m 20 weeks and starting to do more research about giving birth, Reading books and watching videos. I’ve always had a fear of giving birth, but now that I’m pregnant it’s gotten even worse! I want to be able to do it naturally, but I’m also not going to be naive about it since I’ve never done this before and keeping the option open for an epidural in case I feel I need it. I really wish I wasn’t as scared as I am, because having a baby has been all I’ve ever wanted in life. But as I get closer and closer, I’m freaking out!

This is my 3rd and “birth day” is like my favorite. Try to remember your body was made for this! And there are meds that make things easy breezy (if you decide to go that route). And at the end you get to meet your baby!! It’s an amazing experience

Probably the odd one out here, but I’m so excited. I LOVED giving birth with my first and I can’t wait to experience it again. I just hope it goes as smoothly and peaceful as her birth.

Girl I’m with you. I’ve always wanted to adopt or do a surrogate but my husband really wanted a biological child so here we are! I’m so excited to be a mom and to have the baby, by not excited about HAVING the baby. I’m getting the epidural because I know myself and I want to not be a crazy person while pushing a cantaloupe out of my who-ha. I’m absolutely terrified of birthing 🤦🏽‍♀️

I feel the same way and I am pregnant with my second. I have practicing Hypnobirthing and doing yoga to stretch and relax. I try not to focus so much on the labor part, and try and think about introducing our little baby to our family and it's older brother :)

I wasn't scared the first time and I'm not scared this time. There is only one thing about my eldest son's birth that I don't care to repeat with this son. Other than that, I'm actually looking forward to it.

We are mammals, and most of the other mammals give birth without hospital, doctors, books and even conciseness. Your body instinctively knows what to do, trust it! Even if something is not going easy, you have all the professionals available. You’ll be fine!❤️

I’m totally freaking out too about the whole thing, but everybody says by the time you get around 38-40 weeks you just want to meet your baby & don’t even care about how it’s all going to go down which I can understand. I already want to meet my son so badly, so I can only imagine how ready i’ll be by the time i’m 9 months pregnant lol
