Need help rearranging small living room

My husband and I rent a house with a small living room and I am used to being able to rearrange a lot through the year but I can't find a way to rearrange this room without making it look smaller. Fair warning: no need to tell me if my furniture is old looking, we don't have money for new furniture and I also took these photos while in process of cleaning so I hopefully can figure something out by the time I have it cleaned.

My thought originally: take out the loveseat and move my computer/small desk to the living room where the red recliner is. Move the recliner to the right corner and caddy corner it. Move couch to where the loveseat is now. But I just don't like that we will only have 4 seats in the house. Husband suggested putting loveseat caddy cornered and getting rid of recliner, but think that would make it look too small in here. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated
