Men’s wedding ring

Okay so my boyfriend (pretty much fiancé at this point) insists on spending almost $3k on my engagement ring. His word, not mine. I’ve already said it didn’t matter to me. But we picked the ring out together and he knows it’s the “one”. Anyway, he’s not too crazy about his own wedding band. Couldn’t care less. So do I need to spend an arm and a leg on one for him? I know he wouldn’t care either way, but there are a lot of cheaper options than a band from Zales or something that’s $500+. I’d feel bad if I didn’t even spend $100 on his if he spent $3k on mine. But he already said he’s not that into wedding bands. So I’m assuming he’s not expecting a super fancy one?
