30+ hours in the hospital and he’s here!!!
I can’t believe it’s finally my turn!
August 14th at 2:30pm I went to a doctor appointment because I just wasn’t feeling right. My doctor told me I had gestational hypertension and wanted to induce me. The hospital didn’t have a private room but they had a double room, so we went straight to the hospital after my appointment. After I got into a private room they started with a cervix softener at 7pm, and that stayed in for 12 hours. My contractions started on their own around 2am. At 7am August 15th at 7am they started me on pitocin. I was at a one at this point. At 10am they put the rubber balloon up past my cervix and that made my contractions AWFUL. It got me to a 4, and I got the epidural because I couldn’t breathe.
So fast forward and I’m stuck at a 4 for around 6 hours and by this time it’s almost midnight. I start feeling a lot of pressure on my butt and I call my nurse in because this hurts and I’m numb everywhere but I can feel this. She told me I was at 5 and to let her know when I feel it between contractions instead of only during contractions. Well like 15-20 minutes later, I’m almost screaming for my wife to get my nurse because I can feel him moving down and I knew he was coming NOW.
She comes in, I’m at a 10! Baby boy is coming!!
After about 20 minutes if pushing he was here.
Born August 16th, 12:03am. 6lbs 7ounces, 19.25 inches. 💕💕 I am so in love 😍
