Fitness journey 😊
Hey there,
Looking to chitchat, Anyone on a fitness journey also? Why did you start? When did you start?
I started July 6th 2018 and this is today! Still have a ways to go, so far I've lost almost 20 pounds.
My start weight was 231, i decided to finally go 100% with my weight loss, ive tried a million times and for some reason this stuck and i havent given up. A few reasons why i do want to lose weight :
1. A lot of my family members have diabetes and heart disease and arent healthy.
2. I mean for me at 5'2.. 231 is pretty heavy. My SO recently proposed and i constantly have issues finding an outfit to wear and i never felt comfortable in my own skin. I want our wedding day to be wonderful, i dont want to be discouraged with how i feel or think i look that day.
3. We are going to want kids soon. I dont want to be 231+ when having a child this introduces greater risks for myself and the baby, also gestational diabetes.
4. I just want to look hot for my man 😉🔥. He already calls me beautiful and all but i want to be able to wear anything or nothing and feel confident and comfortable in my skin.
5. I used to be so active when i was younger until the weight started creeping up. Now that i go to the gym 4-5 times / week i can feel myself getting more comfortable and becoming easier.
6. Similar to #5 i want a healthy and active life with my kids. I want them to enjoy and grow into sports (if they want) and enjoy an active lifestyle. It sounds bad to say but i don't want my child to be unhappy and have the thoughts i did when i started to gain weight.
I've been doing intermittent fasting along with keto and the gym 4-5 times / week. My current weight is 213.
My goal is 165 (for now). I would like to reach this goal by January 2019. Right now im averaging about 10 pounds per month and i eat the occasional popcorn and enjoy myself on date nights. I believe in moderation because depriving will most likely bring me right back to how i used to be and start a binge.
Right now im happy, healthier and excited for next months weigh in / photo. I would love to hear your story and pics if you have any 😊
