Horrible Period

I just got my first real period off the pill in 9 years. Now I remember why I went on the pill in the first place. I bleed so much on my period it soaks through tampons and pads pretty fast, and I get a lot of clots and cramping. At least I remember having a pretty regular period. But, this concerns me when I think of TTC. Has anyone had horrible, heavy, crampy periods and been able to conceive ok? If so, did it cause any complications during your pregnancy? Thanks ladies!!
