When do you discuss birth options?

Hi everyone. I'm 10 weeks pregnant and had my booking appointment last week (my midwife is horrible by the way too 😔). I am being referred to an obstetrician too for medical reasons but likely won't hear anything for a while apparently. 
I am wondering when do you discuss birth options and all that? I really want to push for elective c section for a mix of medical and psychological reasons, but don't know when to bring this up and who with? Feeling anxious and just want it arranged.....

I’m 28weeks and also wanting elective csection, I had to bring it up at my 24 week midwife appt because we hadn’t discussed it yet. 
The midwife will need to refer you to a consultant to schedule a c-section so bring it up at your next appointment and they can refer you xx

I was asked by my midwife at 36 weeks and we wrote a very brief “birth plan” in the front of my notes ( there is a section for this) I would however mention it sooner rather than later and keep on saying it. All this was in the news recently about women being refused them so I would keep pushing throughout your pregnancy until you are allowed to choose or are given a date for it as at last minute they are often not done. 36 weeks - I think so much can change before then! If you want to discuss elective caesarean, I’d raise it at your next midwife appointment (16 weeks probably) as they’ll be able to advise and put your mind at rest

Thanks everyone for your replies. I'll bring it up at my 16 week appointment. Waiting until 36 is probably far too late if I wang elective c section

36 weeks is when you tend to go through pain relief etc however I have had a 'normal' (what ever that is ) midwife lead pregnancy. However if your higher risk I would suggest bringing it up at your next appointment :)

I got to 36 weeks and nothing was mentioned so I said something and she basically just told me to write on a piece of paper what I wanted and put it in my notes that was it x

I never actually discussed with anyone about it throughout my whole pregnancy. Maybe just bring it up at your next appointment instead

I discussed mine at my glucose test and then with my consultant at 30 weeks.

I'm 33 weeks and no one's really mentioned it to me yet. I'm booked in for a class that informs you about birth etc but that's 2 weeks before my due date 😂 You should just mention it at your next midwife app and see what she says
