Has anyone tested positive for the Syphilis antibody?

My dr casually told me I was positive for the Syphilis antibody.

I was shocked. I’ve been in a very monogamous happy marriage/relationship for more than 7 years.

I have a two year old and never tested positive.

However the dr said it could be due to my autoimmune disease (hypothyroidism, possible Hashimoto’s) and that’s why I produce the antibody.

And that it’s possibly a false positive.

I’m praying this is just a false positive.

Any experience?
