Birth story 1 month and 2 weeks later
So I’ve been so busy taking care of my baby and watching him grow within just a month I haven’t had much time to post my birth story. So July 14th started out as a normal day for me, I was 3 days past my due date already and throughout the day I had been doing a lot of walking. About 8:30 at night I had felt a trickle of water so I ran to the bathroom, I knew it was my water because normally when I leaked pee it didn’t feel like that and not much of anything would come out. So my husband and I dropped his son off and we headed to the hospital. They tested me for my waters and it was positive, they said I had a leak. So they started me on the pitocin about 11 at night and every half an hour they would up it. I didn’t get my epidural until 15 hours of labor because my contractions weren’t bad at all until they kept making me turn different ways and go into different positions so I would dilate more and get my son down into position. My son was on a nerve in my back which was causing me a lot of pain, not even the epidural at that point was helping. After 20 hours of labor I was still only dilated at a 4 and at that point I was so tired and in so much pain and they had been talking about a c section which I was terrified of. So they checked me about 8:30 at night and I still hadn’t made any progress past a 4 so they got me ready for a c section. My son Anthony Joseph was born July 15th at 9:26pm weighing 9lbs and 9oz and 21 1/2 inches long. I had found out while they were stitching me back up that the cord was wrapped around his neck and that he was to big for me to push out. I’m glad I made the decision to go through with a c section and my son made it here safely 💙👶🏽
There is my beautiful scar that healed up so nicely
