Worshipping the queen?

Question

In your opinion, do you find people worshipping the queen blasphemous? 
In the UK by some people it is highly frowned upon and seen as disrespectful if you do not respect her.  
The fact that she (in my opinion) is treated like a person who is superior to everyone else, that you MUST curtsy to her, shake her hand, be respectful.  What has she done to earn this, except for be born into a particular family?

I absolutely do. I'm American but even if I wasn't I'd never accept monarchs or regents to be better than me. I don't think the English quite worship the Queen like a god, so you may be going too far saying that.
If you're Christian you should never bow to another person, only to God. Idk if its acceptable in other religions

Christ said give to Ceaser what is Ceasers and to God what is Gods.  The Lord has put authority  over all.  In government and relationships.  Regardless of who they are, believers or not.  All things work together for our good and His glory.  Respect is not worship.

Scripture specifically states to respect those in authority over you, and it shows that, unless their laws contradict God’s, follow the laws of the land or God Himself will judge you for it. I don’t believe many “worship” the queen, though obviously they do respect her. Worship is different than respect. Not everyone in life is equal. Royalty and common are an example of this. Neither is better than the other in terms of a more optimal human being (elite human being), but some are of a higher position in life. Respect that.

This is an interesting topic. 
I’m a British Muslim convert and I don’t believe the monarch is divinely appointed or anything like that. I see the Queen as more of a worldly authority figure, as a leader, rather than having any religious significance. I would respect her, just as I would respect any leader of a nation. As for bowing in front of her, from an Islamic point of view, I have read that bowing is okay as the typical head dip - it is only prostrating (head on the ground) in front of anyone other than God which is forbidden. 
Personally, I like the royal family because I think they’re in the position to highlight really important issues and support causes that may otherwise by overlooked. It’s also about tradition, which I find quite fascinating. But those are my personal views.
