When I called to book my first appointment, the doctor sent me a referral for an ultrasound over the phone (out of office), and said that we'd book my first appointment after we got the results back. The ultrasound is next week and I'll be 10 1/2 weeks, but I'm wondering if this schedule is going to leave us enough time for the genetic screening? I can't seem to find online how many weeks you needed to be to do it, but I thought it happened in the first trimester? I probably won't get in for my first appointment until 12ish weeks, and I want to make sure it won't be too late! It's the one where you get two seperate blood draws, and it tells you your chances of having a baby with down syndrome and spina bifida and all that!
